Narrative psychology is not a novelty anymore. For over 20 years the researchers in Poland have been performing different scientific projects using the narrative paradigm. Due to the dynamic development of narrative methodology, as well as the diversity of investigated problems it became a valued theoretical stance, equal to other methodological approaches and as such it found its place in university didactic programs. The issues that have always been central to narrative psychology concentrate on identity, human communications and constructing social realities. Stories constitute our personalities and the world around us. Therefore it is a fundamental endeavor to explore and describe how does life become a story. What is its role in the development of an individual? How do we absorb narrative schemas that regulate behavior? How does the narrative teach, heal or shape our relationships? We would like to invite researchers to participate in 7th Narrative Conference „Development and Narrative”. After several years we would like to create again a reflective space for narrative investigators and theorists. We are also proud to inform that this time discussion will be enriched by the voices of our distinguished guests.

The conference will be held in Kazimierz nad Wisłą, Poland, on the 27th – 29t September 2018.

We kindly ask to send the abstracts of the oral presentations, posters or workshops until May 31 2018 to the e-mail address narracyjna@psych.uw.edu.pl.

We are looking forward to meeting you in September
